Techniques used- The Seersucker Stitch will be used throughout this pattern and the techniques you will need to know are knit, purl, 1x1 rib, k2tog, cast on and cast off. The cardigan is knit up in 3 panels, seamed together and completed with a neckline that is knit along the edge of the cardigan.
SIZING:
Oversized, slouchy fit.
The pattern includes sizes XS/S, M/L, XL/2XL
The sample is knit in size S.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
5 balls of Super Chunky Yarn (200g/80m) for primary colour (6 for XL/2XL)
2 balls of Super Chunky Yarn (200g/80m) for secondary colour
(the sample in white is made using Crazy Sexy Wool in Ivory white and cuffs in Cameo rose and Lilac Powder, the pink sample is made using We Are Knitters ‘The Wool’ yarn in shade Dusty Pink and Wool and the Gang ‘Crazy Sexy Wool’ yarn in shade Sand Trooper Beige)
NOTE: if choosing another yarn brand, make sure they are a similar weight and length to Crazy Sexy Wool and the yarn is knit with 12mm needles.
For the cardigan to be knit in a single colour, combine the required amount to just one shade
TOOLS REQUIRED:
12mm (US17) needles (recommended approx. 40cm long)
10mm (US15) circular needles (recommended approx. 85cm long)
Knitter’s safety pins or stitch markers
5mm crochet hook or tapestry needle
TENSION SWATCH:
Approx. 10cm/4” = 7 stitches, 10 rows in stockinette stitch using 12mm(US17) needles.
